Be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle
Give others the kindest interpretation, because it's probably not about you. They're just fighting to survive.
The career professional who just lost their longtime job. The parent struggling with balancing work and a new baby. The adult caring for their aging parent. The student with anxiety and stress from school.
You don't know what others might be going through. And others don't know what you're going through, either.
When others do things you don't like, give them the kindest interpretation for why they did it.
"They're an asshole," you might say. Maybe. Or maybe they're stressed. Embarrassed. Distracted. Tired.
Life becomes easier when you stop imagining that everyone else is out to get you. Judge you. Hate you.
The reality is, most of the time they're not even thinking about you. They're just fighting to survive.
